我國駐軍南沙太平島被仲裁為「岩礁」，引發全國譁然，今年1月初，駐島護理師初美玲、潘曼琪及林芳慈原本戶籍分別在高雄、花蓮及屏東，她們為了讓國際知道，「太平島是島不是礁」，皆把戶籍遷至太平島上，被稱為愛國護理師，目前唯有潘曼琪遷回，另兩護理師還是設籍島上。
